Next up is a lower powerflex mount of one of the solid group N ones I think?
Made a real difference to my clio. Going to have a look at wiring up the fan uses the rad switch too thanks to Saxovas thread. Also pleased to report my cabin is now leak free, no more pools of water even in this heavy rain! Might actually be getting it watertight now!

Cheers mate,
Black - If I cant get a group A one, powerflex one I think i'll have to be. Its only £24, are the constella grp A ones more expensive? Also is yours the solid ali one - thats going to give some big vibrations? not that on a track car it'll matter too much but chances are I will take it on a road blast or to/from tracks maybe

As posted loads mate
Don't believe everything you see on the net, you'll hardly notice it after a trip or two, it's nothing, but much better feel then a rubber or nylon,
Think mines aly. Can't remember now, defo worth it
If you had all group A you'd notice some vibration, but just the lower is ideal

If anyone can sort me out with a couple of mk1 amazon green wings i'd appreciate it. The laquer peel now is starting to resemble the moons surface! Even if its a track car I'd prefer the bodywork to look "OK" without having to resort to vinyl

Powerflex lower mount bush arrived tonight so I fitted that along with arb powerflex bushes. Couldn't press the bush out as my vice isnt much cop, so I cut out the rubber part with a jig saw and then hammered the outer casing out.
One arb bush was easy to fit, the nearside an absolute sod - it wouldnt never line up with the hole so upon further investigation it would appear it was caught on a poorly formed rubber rear mount on the wishbone so off that came along with the drop links just for peace of mind. Fitted it all back in reverse order and now its all back together and I can have some beers and pizza!
Have to say though there is a slight vibration but nothing major at all. Probably even lesss than the clio but then I'm used to the saxo being a bone shaker. It might be down to the less top heavy nature of an 8v compared to a 16v though but thats just my speculation.
No photos of the arb bushes as I wanted to finish the job quick but they are fitted!

Going to be vinyl wrapping parts of this tonight or tomorrow, cant be bothered spraying the wings properly so I've just done a rough job before the vinyl goes. Probably do the boot too if I get enough time

Decided against vinyl wrap now as the colour of the stuff I got wasnt what I wanted for the exterior. Going to drop some more paint and laquer on and user the wrap on other stuff.
