Default My cars being strange (yet again lol)

Evening all, well ive been having a few idle-ing problems, so over the past few days ive been cleaning all the sensors up.

After cleaning the MAP sensor lastnight i started the car this morning (i left the ECU disconnected overnight) the car struggled to start and 1st and then it was ok.

The idle-ing was alova the place and i started to get a bit annoyed with it!

I took it for a long drive to work, and it seemed to drive fine apart from when i slowed down the revs went back up to about 2 and then dropped back down to where they should be.

Other than that the car only seems to idle poorly when the car is cold once it warms up its not SO apparent.

So im thinking engine temp sensor?? Opinions??

Only problem ive got is i cant find the fucking sensor anywhere

Ive been told its green but i only have 1 green sensor in the bay and its next to the oil filter which is the oil temp gauge on the dash. Which i broke lastnight but not to worry about that at the moment

So basically im asking does this sound like the engine temp sensor?

Where can i get a new 1 from if it is.

And where the hell is it in the engine bay on a mk2 vts??

Cheers all.

Sorry for the essay!!

Would have thought the temp sensor would make your car run like a bag of shite..
Tbh it sounds more like the ICV, i assume you have cleaned this, have you tried replacing it as sometimes it cleaning wont always work?
