It's an engine from a C2 GT?
It's 125PS and loads more torque from mid range compared to a J4. It has larger valves and more potential for power.
However, the reason most people fit them is because they can't be arsed rebuilding their J4 and simply fit a JP4 or JP4S frmo a newer low mileage car.

Physically it will fit.
you need to keep your original manifold from the J4 though, as the JP4 and JP4S have electronic throttles.
This requires drilling and tapping the cylinder head on the JP4/S
Also, you MUST get a remap, the J4 ECU doesn't know the engine you have has biggger valves and different cam profiles. People will tell you it works, yes it'll run but it'll never have the correct power.
Despite what anyone tells you, fitting j4 cams to a JP4 is a total waste of time.

Are there any other engines that will fit a 1.6i. I am of course looking for the easiest build process, the lowest price and the most power

Well obviously i wont be able to fit a Merlin V12 in a saxo. Although that would be epic.
I am asking if the jp4 and the jp4s are the only engines commonly used when you want your saxo to go faster, or if there are any other engines that saxo enthusiasts like to put in the little french tincan to make it go faster?

A Merlin V12 would be a terrible idea, they're so inefficient even with the supercharger.
However, a Jaguar V12 with a TWR kit bored out to 7.0 litres (what lister use in the storm) would be epic
Also it wouldn't fit.
1.6 16v is the easiest swap. Going fast costs money unless you fit a bigger engine or a turbo (cost). Bigger engines require extensive modifications to engine bay and drivetrain setup. then you upset the light weight feel of the car.
If you want to go fast, buy a faster car.

That looks sexy dave!!
I got it driving today, pretty much finished, so unless i break it at knockhill on the 31st, i see no reason why not
Plans have slightly changed though, I'm going to try my hardest to do the mcrae stages next year (if they don't get cancled again)
