Default Sparco seats ruined my back

Hi all,

Ive had a pair of budget sparco race seats in my vtr 2 years now. Worst decision i ever made. They look great but they have caused me some awful back pain to the point where i dont even want to drive my saxo until i find some seats to replace them.

I tried to put up with it, bought back cushions etc but i have had to admit defeat. Proper waste of money! im now after some decent vtr seats to bolt back in which are proving difficult to find in good condition.

Of course 106 gti seats i would love but these are like rocking horse .... anyone selling any?

the clue is in the name
"race seats"
for use on a nice smooth race track for maybe 1-2hr at most and tied in solid with 5 point harness

I did a road trip to lemans last year in bucket seats, was absolutely fine, its all about seat position and seat choice.

and not having "racecar stance" with shit damping.

Yeah bad idea buying without trying! Shame cos they look the part but cause too much pain, even on short commutes.

Its because they are budget, bad position (tilt you backwards) and roads in my area are bad.

Thanks for posting

A friend and I went to the Nurburgring in an E46 M3 with Motordrive seats (Motordrive Pro). They were absolutely fine even with the suspension on nearly the hardest setting - which was soon softened hahaha
