Have your lawyers send him a formal invoice for the cage refund and also their bills, then you they can pursue him legally. Even better register the invoice at his parents address so that if it does go down to bad debt etc... it will affect the address. Once his parents start getting things through that may affect their credit rating im sure things will turn around sharpish.
