Cheers mate.
I can't knock the saxos as my first car was a mk2 Saxo vtr then I got a mk1 after I got rid of it and regretted it and then I got the gti but do prefer the 106 even tho there's not exactly a great deal between the 2.
Both the gti and Saxo have there good and bad bits lol.

Ok so after a lot of research my plans for the gti are:
:Newman ph3 cams getting fitted Tomorow
:AT power throttle bodies
redator single plug ecu plus re mapping
That will complete my tuning modifications and I will be more than happy to leave it after them mods.

Ok so now the gti is cammed.
Must say the idle is even worse than i was expecting it to be.
Here is a lil video for you all to see the car ticking over without a remap.
Would reccomend to anyone thats looking into getting these not too run it without a map for too long.
Mine has already cut out a few times and the idle sounds really bad lol.
Anyway wack your speakers up and you will hear exactly what im talking about.
Thanks.

After a chat with Andy who designed the predator standalone I am now going through with getting this from him as soon as I can.
Hopefully should see some nice gains once it's been fitted and mapped.
And then when I get the bodies will just get it mapped again.
Don't no how long I can go with driving the car with the bad idling after having the cams fitted so the quicker I get myself one of these the better.

Heres another video of the car idling.
Must say it does sound more raspy and beefy when you accelarate.

Lil update, after having a leaking oil filler cap from day 1 i got the car i realised it was getting worse so purchased another one and its alot better than the one that was on.
Top is different from mine and the seal ring is padded and squashes into place when you tighten it on.

Ok guys as mentioned previously and after alot of pms to Andy my predatator ecu should be fitted on the 1st October if Andy has it ready in time for then once I've payed last week of this month.
Once fitted installed and mapped will update on here for anyone that's planning on getting on of these.
Will be getting it rolling roaded soon to find out what it's pushing out before I get the bodies.

Ok spoke to my spray painter at the bodyshop today and Hese already started on the bonnet and I decided if I'm having the bonnet sprayed why nit get it de badged so were going with that.
Just got to wait now till Hese done it so I can go and collect and see the final outcome and I'm in no doubt It will look very smart.

Nice car, how much is the cams and remap going to set you back all in out of interest? Thinking of going same way with my VTS.

Already got the cams fitted mate they are Newman phase 3 and cost me 265.00 brand new.
As for the remap I'm going for the predator standalone ecu off Andy and this is 550.00 for predator plus fitted and mapped.
Transferring him the money Tomorow so he can make a start on it.

Ouch, pricey stuff! Let me know the difference once you've had it done and if you think it was worth the £800 odd quid! Will you be getting a dyno run and BHP printout from Andy with it as well? Be interesting to see what power figures yours makes!

Ye will do mate.
Sure it will be worth it especially to get rid of the bad idle and stoping it from cutting out all the time lol but should see some nice power gains from the cams once it's been mapped.

Ok people picked the car up from the bodyshop today and all i can say is it looks very smart and the quality of work theyve done is 100 percent. will defo take some getting used to.
Looks like a different car from the front.
So bonnets been de badged plated and filled then smoothed then sprayed to the original colour.
Then the same with the bumper as that left a big hole in the top from where the badge would sit.
All comments welcome guys.

looks mint mate surprised it's such a good colour match with it been china blue. Makes it look a hell of a lot meaner. You might want to stay away from the wax for a while mate or you could end up with solvent popping. Should be ok with a good polish though.
