pimp my ride wannabe
righhttttttt.................
i wanted to do something totally different in my saxo, so i was thinking of putting in one of my spare xbox 360's between the front seats, and putting in a screen in either the dash or a flip out one in the glove box???
ideas??
i know it might sound chavvy and pimp my ride'esque but im just trying to be a bit diffferent...

Try it, i have no idea how it would all connect up but would be a fun thing to try. Don't listen to people saying it's chavvy or anything, i would love an xbox in my car :L

One of your 'spare' xbox's haha
TV's can be mounted in rather easily by welding in sliders/frame. Ony problem is the glovebox has space for a small TV. So you would probably have to fit it to the dashboard. Then you run the risk of getting your car broken into with a TV and xbox on display.
Good luck fitting an xbox between the seats there is barely any room as it is.
Just put it in the boot and run the cables under the carpet.

sorry, that made me sound REALLY stuck up, i fix them, so i have loads floating about.... sorry for that.
i was swaying towards it going in the dash, but with a way to take it off.
and the plans i have for the build for the xbox includes a surround that you can lock up. my areas full of druggiers and tramps, so wouldnt last a day haha.
hmmm the boot does sound like a good idea now you've said! because i havent made my boot build yet, so could incorperate a space for the xbox... cheers for the input.

tbh it isn't much work, very easy to fit, just need a power inverter for the plug and the cables running to the screen

i know but im lazy.... and il need to either make something so it can be held securely between the front seats (with access to constantly flowing air, due to overheating) or go the easy way and put it in the boot so will need a bit of work...

you won't fit it between the seats, under the seats is fine, enough airflow, i know from experience, i've done quite a few installs in work and fitted consoles

i could lie and say all the time...
but to be brutally honest, itl be there for show purposes.
seeing as i have about 11 xboxs sat infront of me doing absolutely nothing, so i may aswell use one up, and its not going to cost much to make

i say go for it!!

try mount the xbox under the dash
passneger side footwell.
build a frame maybe?
you need the right power cables from the x box to the dvd player too.
which are easy to get!!
good luck!!

well the VTS engine is ready to be put in, and for free as a mate owes me a favour.
but its just waiting for my insurance to go down...
and one day i may take it a few steps further and make it showcar-esque... just not yet
