Right, eventually got some work done on the car, a weekend without a kids party! HUZZAH!
First off D4MJT set about getting my top rad hose off so we could crack on with the oil cooler, braking most of it mainly, then he found out that the center bolt for the oil cooler has to be changed, and I didn't get it in the kit, merrrr!
new one at the top, old one the bottom and the bolt, new bolt needed!
Next up we took the angle grinder to the fan housing to mock up a position for the oil cooler :
Then we decided not to put it there anymore and attacked the bumper with hole saws, an angle grinder, junior hacksaws, and hacksaw blades with electrical tape on them, resulting in this :
Randomly we then started carbon wrapping things :
So, I need a new thermostat housing, a new thermostat, some coolant, and a mocal center bolt, and a weekend without a kids party
Fin

it's 3m Di-Noc from ebay dude, I got an A4 sheet just to play with as I need to wrap the steering wheel trim on the BM. Putting it on it looked terrible as there were bubbles EVERYWHERE, but the second you get heat on it and pull it they vanish, I was very impressed with it, D4MJT did most of it, using a fan heater, the wrap goes supper plyable after a few seconds of heat, it's REALLY forgiving stuff!

In terms of the oil cooler - I think I missed (or didn't read) the bit where you bought it.
I was about to purchase a mocal oil cooler with thermo plate off T'bay - and I was concerned about the original stub. I saw a thread with a chap who purchased a replacement bolt from Citroen - he said it was as the VTR came with (as it didn't have the VTS heat exchanger? - I've never owned a VTR...so don't know).
As I'm just about to order the kit, wondered if you could help point me in the right direction as to which bolt you'll be getting and if the kit I'm buying is the same as yours.

Well it's been a while since I've updated this, I got some odds and sods done at the weekend and had done a few bits last weekend!
First up was a new Knob, I got this from Santa and have just got around to fitting it!
Also I had my Tap & Die set to help me out/cock it up!
So my existing knob had been bonded on, so, err, I may have used an angle grinder to remove it.
Bit of tap & die action, I'd never done this & was amazed it worked!
Insert screws on
Knob over insert, yey!
The oil cooler was next, but with the bumper off I saw some rust so decided to give it a lick of paint
D4MJT managed to snap my thermostat housing when removing my old top hose because he's a bender, so a new housing, thermostat and top hose went on, Spoox y0!
Next I mounted the cooler, badly using my mocal kit, it was really hard to bend them neatly, meh!
Here's it semi fitted, it got straightened up!
I waited for D4MJT to arrive and we fed it some oil and coolant, it started fine, it ran, and somehow it didn't cut out like it normally does as it idles roughly due to the cams, happy days!
