Default Saxo vtr turbo 5th injector piggy back ecu

Hello sorry if this as been covered. I have saxo vtr just fitted turbo with 5th injector what I need to know can I use piggy back ecu to run the 5th injector instead of mf2 ? Or are they the same thing ?. And if I can use piggyback ecu do I wire it to just the 5th injector or all the injector?
I have piggyback ecu with 3bar map sensor so if I can use it save money not having to buy mf2

Hmmm not sure about the piggyback, is it one of those Dastek things from years ago? You might struggle to get someone to map that nowadays? and I'm not 100% sure it was a driver for a 5th injector anyway, just a way to loosely map the stock ECU IIRC.

When I made some notes on budge turbo installs, the MF2 was the driver of choice for the 5th injector. It meant you could map it (technically, not literally) yourself with a screwdriver! But then you hit another problem, in that the ECU detected the fuelling and trimmed it back, dangerously lean in places. So to override that, you used SigCon to prevent it. This is all from memory, but try searching on here, to verify.

To save money, get some second hand Megane Injectors (I've just seen a set on Faceballs for £45! - Brown ones, so early, but still good enough I believe for low boost) and get yourself to Wayne @ ChipWizards. That way, it'll be done correctly and no second guessing what to run with what.

Thanks for the reply the piggy back ecu I have can be tune by yourself don’t need mapping that what was making me think it be ok to run 5th injector like mf2

What is the ECU?
You still need a driver for the 5th injector. I'd be 99.99% sure, that the piggy back will not drive it.

The G-reddy has a built in tool for scaling/correcting injector sizes? then just get some Megane injectors and forget the 5th idea.

Actually, googling the E-manage only allows you to 'add' fuel and not subtract. So I'd be concerned with how that would even idle with Meg injectors...

I'm guessing this is a low boost setup?! Don't really know what spec you are going for. Have you mapped a car before?

CiTuning used to sell the MF2. It's nearly £400 now. Which would be thereabouts the cost for Chipwizards sorcery.

Post the full spec of what you've got - impossible to say anything with any certainty for the few left on the forum.

Good to use? you mean, just putting them in and running the thing without the ECU/mapping etc?

Not running intercooler at moment. I want to get it running on low boost for now and then in month or so I will go with standalone ecu and start tidying up the build

In my experience having turbod a vtr myself get yourself a Intercooler which is cheap a toyo sports one is only like £80 and get some universal ic pipes plum it all in u will also need a 2 bar map sensor found on the 207 gti and a set of injectors remember Megane 225 don’t fit the vtr u need bosch type ones speak to Wayne for the correct ones u need plum all your turbo in and ic but don’t fit the map sensor or injectors book yourself in with Wayne for mapping and drive off boost to him I drove over 100 miles to him unmapped and off boost and the car was fine the 5th injector is in my opinion just a way of bodging it to fit and it won’t last long before your engine explodes my thread is in the members pics bit if u want a look it’s called my paxo have a look and I will answer any questions that u have

That’s nice build mate. So I could go with my Greddy e manage piggy back ecu with a 3 bar map sensor I have for it and bigger injectors and get away with the 5th injector ? I was told you could now map standard ecu ?
