in fact, ingore the above im talking crap....
Its on boost there but only very slightly (till it spools up), thats the usual way I map them. I keep an eye on EGT and det and havent had any problems since

Thanks bud, will be loads better when i get the hybrid'd turbo back and the front mount cooler on, should get some even more impressive results.
had all the mounts now made in solid steel now, had the other 2 done the other day but i wanted to buy the one under the ecu, so i had my mate make a solid one for that too which is gonna be fitted soon. will put the pics up when i get a mo.
cheers

I must be misreading it or something, is the first graph with the AFR/MAP from the same run as the second graph of BHP/LBFT and all at full throttle? Going by the times it appears to be.

I see, so it's getting moderate boost from about 2000-3500rpm on about 14.7:1 AFR, then what I'm concerned about particularly is looking at the the displayed manifold pressure, is from about 3500-4800, where the AFR stays around 14:1 at the boost and when dynamic compression is probably peaking.

Indeed, wil maybe rcihen it up. That was peak torque (with MBT) at that AFR without det or hightened EGTs however...

Found this on club gti, seem an interesting read. typical example of peolpe dreaming about what there cars make and badger motorsport saying that dyno dynamic rolling rollers read correctly . this made 480hp on some other rollers(not dyno dynamics!).
different power plots with me dialing in some more of da boost between a few runs
wish i had twiddled just one more time to hit the 400bhp "magic" number, which 2bar looks to be able to achieve.
Dyno Dynamics rollers also known as Heart Breaker as you dont get figures you "like to see" but more like "how it is".... when you make DD figures, they are realistic not optomistic like most other dyno's seem to be
Polo is getting there tho and thanks to ajec for accomodaring my fiddling and logging during the runs on a few cars.
GVK, i wish my cars sounded as sweet as yours... luv the vr soundtrack.. best of the day by far imho.....yummy

DD rollers are as susceptible to error as any other. They estimate flywheel figures, they cannot measure flywheel figures. The assertion that they're accurate because they seem to read lower is deeply flawed. The way measured wheels torque is converted into estimated flywheel figures varies between different systems and the potential error varies as a result, it's not a case of saying any car will be a certain amount lower or higher on other rollers, on acceleration runs, the control loops and inertia can corrupt figures.

Chris, That turbo is v.impressive, cant wait to see how she handles it.
AMAL valve to use the boost control on the V4 is def somethiong to think about as well...

Loving the car. Only just found this thread. Seen it a Castle Comb last year on the last trackday of the year with BHPtrackdys. Was down there in my VTR just watching to see if I was up for one. Was super quick on the track was it turbo at that day or no as I saw you was keeping with the clio sports and scooby on the straights and leaving them through the bends.
Would you recomend a trackday with BHP as I am looking to do one?
Check out my progress thread not massive but just started.
Tom

Well it was super quick with just TB. How much would you think is it for a rolling road session and mapping?

We charge £45 for a power run, or £250 for mapping, but we only map our standalone systems. We offer a drive in, drive out on our V4 system fully fitted and mapped for £995+VAT.
Cheers,
Matt

Raunchz,
Happy to map Autronic, DTA and MoTeC, wont ever touch Emerald again as it takes so long and you cant burn a single site on the map at a time.
Generally we are so busy with our V4 stuff we turn most other stuff away as its not worth the hassle!
Cheers,
Matt
