Darkslider, the way boony does it is the best way from what i've heard! None of this 'clicks' stuff!!!
I'll hopefully know if mine needs anything doing soon. Just need to collect some parts and see if they come built or not.

I was thinking that but... I tend to loose screws and things don't ever fit right when I put them back lol. I'll see how it goes first, I can always rip it out at a later date along with the ABS stuff!
Do you reckon the MOT guys will be arsed when I turn up with one seat, a harness and no interior?

I WAS going to take the dash out today... HONESTLY I was!!!!
But it's pissing down, freezing cold and my knees are a bit sore! I don't want to make them worse.
Any way, I'll be getting the suspension, Wishbones, ARB bushes, Door pockets and a few other bits and bobs this coming week, all being well.
Still waiting to hear back from the guy I got the doorcards off about the base and sidemount he has. If I haven't heard back by the end of the week then i think i'll use the steel my mate got me and weld a set in!
I'm also thinking that I've removed PLENTY of weight from the rear, I'd best try and balance it out by removing some from the front and if possible relocating the battery etc.
As this isn't URGENT i'll do it if and when I can get round to it, I do think though the sound proofing should come off from behind the dash, that should get a bit out from the front end.
That should keep me going for a few weeks!
I've also just realised I've only got 7 weeks to go until our joint Sax-P and 106Owners North West meet... So that's a month to try and get it done and put though an MOT then 2-3 weeks to rectify all the failures and advisories and get it re-tested!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots to do then mate
my dash is out and its not too hard to do tbh 6 bolts hold it in its justthe dials ect that are annoying to get out
What i do is when i unscrew a panel i put the screws back in the dash so i cant loose them

Good thinking batman... Might give it a go but yeah, LOADS to do. I need to get these major bits sorted first then i'll look at the dash.
So things I need to sort within the 5 weeks is:
Fit door cards
Fit door bins
Fit front suspension
Renew drop links
Replace trackrod ends
Replace wishbones
Replace front ARB bushes
Swap rear beam off VTR
Fit rear suspension
Replace disks and pads all round
Source and fit 266mm front callipers
Bleed old brake fluid and replace with DOT5.1
Weld in seat rails and source sidemounts
Fit steering wheel from VTR
Rectify leaking exhaust joints
MOT
Rectify any advisories!!!!
Re-MOT
TAX
INSURE!!!!!!!!!!!
SHIT!!!!!!!!!
I best get a shift on!

Normally I'd agree but I've got other bits and bobs to sort for the next couple of weekends too so It may take a bit longer than planned.

Oh yeah, Cool.
Well, this week is full with coursework for my course and the weekend will be busy too. Range work for two days
Next week I'll make a good go at it. I'll see if i can teach myself to weld in under ten minutes and get the bars in as it doesn't look like this lads is going to get back to me about the bases and side mounts!
Ah well... Should be good to get a move on though.
Oh, if you need somewhere to store that cage Rory I'm sure I can find somewhere to throw it

Got some new parts to add to the car. Also got a front arb with bushes too.
Interior wise i got some 106 door bins that have been flocked, these will match the 106 door handles I got too
Can't wait to get the parts swapped over now! Just got to get this weekend out of the way, then I can get my focus back on sorting this out.
Just need some side mounts and to get the bases welded in or some bought!
Here's the pics of the stuff anyway

Looking good dude!
Get a heatgun on the rear arch and footwell tar, and if you can't be bothered with taking the dash out, get a stanley knife and score the dash sound proofing and it rips along the score mark super easy. It weighs a ton and you can cut about 90% out with the dash still in
;p
