Handbrake and Brakes Gone ? (Pictures)
There is the handbrake connection. One seems to be fine but the other one seems to be too long (loose ?) its not pulling on both lines just the shorter one...
When i pull up the handbrake it has to be at 90 degrees to work a small bit...
and the brakes are a joke too, when i slam on the car rolls to a stop ?
Any ideas ?

COuld be that one of the cylinders in the rear drums has failed. Therefore when you press the brakes, the fluid just comes out of there.

needless to say my balls were then in my mouth but managed to stop and get it home/parked ^^

Adjust the brake shoes and sand off any lip that is on the drums for a good snug fit.

Check ur fluid levels it should tell you if your losing any liquid.
Also check ur rear wheels to see if theres anything on them like break fluid
or u could check the floor where its usually parked.

had it once, it was a rear cylinder and lost all fluid ergo no brakes. If you have to drive on that to the garage, stay in low gears and be careful.

Have you snapped or stripped the thread? It's part of the handbrake, much easier just to get another handle from down the scrapyard. it's only held in by 2 bolts (13mm socket to remove) from the top.

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me I snapped the bolt today, it was very corroded. I'll get to the scrapyard tomorrow.
