Default Faulty fuel, temp and rev counter

Has any one got the definitive answer to this problem. Fuel, temp gauge and rev counter not working. Removing the battery for hours don't fix the fault.

When did the fault appear? Just randomly for no apparent reason or after changing something or doing some work on it?

Just got the motor with the fault on it. Checked all the obvious with no joy. Fuses checked, instrument clocks taken out and checked plugs, battery checked. When you earth out the temp gauge out the display still won't move. Earth out thr fuel sensor out and still no movement on the clocks.

Have you tried another set of clocks?

It is an original car, and not something someone has cobbled together is it? ie, it's got the right engine, loom clocks etc?

Not changed the clocks as of yet as just dont want to get on the endless track of buying and trying different stuff. The car is standard, as it was when leaving the factory. I believe that its a manufacturing fault as so many people have had the same issue but no one can give a definitive answer. If it needs new clocks then I will buy them. Cheers

You have checked the obvious things like the fuse(s) that supply the clocks?

Battery OK? I had a shagged battery and the dials were all over the place.
Clean up the earths.

Get the multi-meter out, as above
