Cheers matey ! Also forgot lea sent me his wilwood bias valve. So i can route the brake lines through the car and junk the standard bias on the beam.

Had a few hrs spare today so decided to carry on stripping the gti down. I need to get the shell scraped ! So i can finally fit the 16v to the xsi.
And i hope my grandad doesn't mind my new homegrown gti parts in the greenhouse.

Last Saturday i managed to drag the 106gti out the garage and continue to strip everything off the car that may be some use or sold on.
After a few hours i called it a day and was left with this :
The shell was left for less than 24hrs i returned the next morning to sort out getting the shell removed and pikeys had already beat me to it and helped themselves to it ! Oh and the scrap tyres it was sat on !

Yer the pikeys had the shell clean away......no sign of it when i went to the garage the next day, even had the shogun tyres i was saving, luckily i had drilled holes in the sidewalls that'll teach em !
Ok little list of things i want/need to do. I seem to make a list on paper and lose it.
Fit 16v Engine
Brake lines in car with wilwood bias valve
Fit the 2 door bars on the rollcage.
Fit the GTI Clocks
Swap xsi farb for the gti farb.
Paint/tidy up interior
I would quite like to have this as my daily drive and sell my seat ibiza tdi. The ibiza is 241.2bhp and 346.8lbft of torque. So im quite unsure what to do as i know i will miss the power and mpg but i really am missing the fun and chuckability of the 106/saxos.
Really confused !!

Been starting to prepare the engine for the conversion.
I decided to tackle the 16v rocker covers.
Before :
During (Not sure what they were painted with - was like tar!)
After:
Also today i have buzzed all wires from the gti loom and labelled them all up ready for the xsi loom to be buzzed and spliced:

Been busy cracking on with the xsi to gti conversion wiring loom.
Yesterday i removed the xsi engine wiring loom to buzz through to find each wires function.
After buzzing i was left with the xsi multiplug
Today i spent 3hrs soldering / heatshrinking and i went and buzzed all wires again to make sure everythin was good
Just need to tape up the loom and get some corrugated tubing to make it loom original.
So in total it has taken me 10hrs to get the loom to this state, but its my 1st 16v conversion so hope i am quicker next time.
Cheers Ste
