lowering a vtr
ive got a vtr and want to lower it 50mm can i do this with just spring or do i need uprated shocks aswell, on a tight budget

personaly i would save up and wait till you can afford shocks aswell.

i had a quiksilver before my vtr that was lowered about 50mm with standard shocks and never had any probs with it for the 2 years i had it

You can do it with just springs but it will soon fuck your shocks up, having said that Im lowered 40 on standards and my ride is still find after a year

yer its fine its just that after a few years being lowered they will start to wear out same as anything else.
