So you just drilled the holes in a different place.

is the port spacing the same??

and does cylinder 1 intake pipe come anywhere near the engine mount bracket arm?

The inlet has to be chopped in half and about 3/4 inch taken out to bring the 2 inner ports closer, then ported to match a jp4 inlet gasket

Fitted a new wheel bearing to my passenger strut since it collapsed.

tomorrows job will be a garage tidy up and possibly make a start on putting the rear dampers on then trial fitting some radiators/intercoolers

Sooo..

AD08's - Anyone rate them?

Whacked my wheels on, what a horrible job trying to avoid massive brakes so you dont scratch them

If you can see there are a few marks that could do with touching up, if i can find a colour code for the wheels ill just mix some up at work and blob some paint in the gaps. will speak to jordon

Popped my Gravel Grp N's on too. feel stiff when you press on the car will see how they perform with the original Torsion bars, waiting on a mate who could be selling his 23mm's but we will see what the price is like.

Saturday the Mrs is working so got a whole 9am till 7pm working on the car. im thinking the dash might be ready to go in

After speaking with joe aswell as some others that didnt pull a face when i mentioned ad08s i imagine they are good.

will probably try not to use it in the wet anyway so that wont be much of an issue.

Finally after waiting about 6 weeks my wastegate arrived today.

I also bought a swirl pot last night which should arrive wednesday according to the website.

Picked up a Bosch 044 fuel pump for a good price.

was going to fit the dash tonight but been feeling lazy recently, ill get some good sleep and crack on tomorrow

This is my planned swirl pot setup. what you think?

Anyone recommend any certain FPR's? a specific brand?

So,

Some updates

Slam panel, Rad and intercooler fitted.

Intercooler needs new brackets to stop it rocking left and right, and the rad needs some brackets welding onto the slam panel/radiator panel ect.. to strengthen it up more and stop it moving around as the turbo is so close to the radiator i cant afford much movement.

Will need a new silicone hose, thats about as far across the rad as i can afford to move the radiator to, so will have to get a custom hose made to match the bay.

Popped bumper on to see how everything fit, had to take off the grill from behind but as long as i dont have to chop out the middle bar im a happy bunny

Intercooler clearance

If you can make this out, its the lower rad panel or what it used to be spot welded to before i cut it off, it seems i may have to trim that down to allow for the boost pipe to come through there, not 100% how ill be routing that one just yet but both will take little work to fit.

Passenger side intercooler take off - Simply just have a straight hose coming out of that 180 degree hose and half way to line up with the turbo and then into the bottom avoiding the downpipe

Radiator hose needs a little bend joiner, not to worry

Fitted the clutch cable arm

Noticed my be4 markings

Rad/Turbo touching, needs moving about 4mm out at the bottom to create clearance

Boost hoses touching the bumper, will have to trim a little off when i get my actual bumper off

Easy clearance on the other side, making me think it could just be moved a little to the right to allow for clearance on the other side(above)

Fuel swirl pot arrived from OBP, not a bad product especially for £50, will be mounted in the boot

and with the catch tank

Bay with the filter just kinda in there, hope to get the air filter as close as possible to the back of the headlights, i dont think ill be running morettes but plans may change if some pop up cheap

Over the next few days i hope to make up some brackets ready to have them welded on and start trimming off stuff and cutting down my own slam panel to match this one, leaving a little bit more metal on and welding up some brackets on that.

Starting to look a LOT more like a car

New(Extra) Rover inlet arrived, set me back a whole £48+VAT Including postage. Arrived in less than 48 hours too!

First of all, Chopped it in half

Top half is up for sale on ebay at the minute, £20 start and no reserve(One on there for £140!), if it wont sell after 2 weeks ill be chopping off the "Turbo" writing and having it welded onto mine to make it look a little better.

Took my brakes to work to wind them back properly, along with a random clean down while i had some spare time

They need to go yellow to match the fronts, the back half can stay alloy and the front pad carrier will be taken to work by my dad as it just so happens they use a very bright yellow on railway clips so ill have him pop them on the powder-coating line for me.

Fitted the first two cylinders bottom half of the new inlet to my modified top section

Seems ill need to trim a little more off to allow the other side to go on, im not 100% sure how im going to port match it, it seems ill have to get an inlet gasket for a JP4 or some sort and then bolt it to the inlet. draw up all the holes matching a J4 to drill out then port match it to the 106 port shapes. should go well i think. fingers crossed!

Also the car is a bit messy in the back
