Will do mate. Should be fine though.
Want to get some movement on this now. Been too long since I left the car, I have loads of little jobs that need doing and tidying up that I could have had done by now but never mind.
Need to get a trip to the Unit soon too so I can collect a few goodies!!

Just a bit!! Absolute chaos this past week! Work is way busier than I have ever been and Nic and Tilly have both been ill so this week has just been really hard work. Hopefully though all these things should calm down and settle in to a routine over the next few weeks and some progress can get made on getting this thing sorted out.

Looking forward to getting the car back now. I'm nipping out on a road trip tomorrow to collect a few parts for it's arrival. Meanwhile, I'm racking my brains trying to think of things that will need doing other than having an engine put in. So far I have come up with this small list:
Engine,
Rust in rear arches,
Re-fix rear cage mounts,
Weld in seat rails,
Balance brakes,
Tracking,
Tighten rear arb bolts and raise beam a few mm.
That should keep me busy for a few weekends. :-/
The blue one has been treated to a new car cover to keep it from getting knackered up even more by the cats crawling all over it!
Hopefully, I should have a nice little update tomorrow.

Good thinking mate!!
I think i might just whack in the engine from the blue one... still pondering whether to sell this for something a bit extra special though. Need to figure stuff out and see what I could realistically get for this asap.

Well after we spoke last time I read your thread from start to finish and although it made me want it, I thought there is no way you should sell it. So much hard graft and love poured into it it just wouldn't be right!
KEEP IT!!!!

Thats what I keep thinking but the car I am in "talks" about is pretty fucking spectacular. This car is awesome and i'm proud as fook about it but if i could get the right money I could get something even better and make it my own.
Dunno... Mucho thinking is being done, not most of all, the money side of stuff.
I'll probably end up keeping it though as good things always fall through for me. lol.
Plus, the little amount of work it needs to get it back running and the last little bits of rust doing kind of make me want to push on with it.

Noooooooo... Cant really say much but it is on this forum and it is pretty fucking cool!
Nic's search for a nice Mk3 Golf GTi is going well though. Seems to have been a small population explosion in the golfs for sale recently.

If you get one, i'll rent a section off you!!
I think we just sold the 206 so thats a few more quid into Nic's Golf fund. Guys coming on Friday for that so it looks like the Blue one will be rejuvenated temporarily until the chosen one is acquired. That means, we should at least have a car to run on the rolling road!! lol.

Yeah, me too! Trying to ramp up interest now on here and facebook too. Should be good again. Chris is a great guy so it's nice to put a bit of business his way... not that he needs it with the coverage he's been getting in PFC mag!!
