Default Website design

I want to set up a webpage where I can post and keep track of my car and the updates I make and I've looked at different software and need some advice. The site 1&1 seems to offer good services but would be good to know if anybody has used them before? Does anyone have their own website/blog that has any tips for setting one up? Would appreciate any help.

+1 for blogger.

1&1 are utter WANK. customer service is non-existant, refuse to allow new customer prices to existing customers (and it's impossible to transfer from being an existing to a new customer as they don't allow download/upload of a complete site).

Possibly the worst internet host I've ever dealt with - and I've dealt with many.
