Default Any overclockers on here ?

Just wondering what systems you guys have and if any of you are gamers with big systems.

I'm not a gamer myself but i have a pretty good system for my music production.

Asus p7h55 / usb3 mobo with an over clocked i5 to 4.2 GHZ and 16GB 1600 Ram, all in a case that is basically future proof regarding upgrades.

What you guys got ?

I USED to be quite big on this, but I soon Got bored of having the latest and greatest for just a week, the tech moves too quick and something worth £300 a week later is worth half that because a newer version is released.

This is true. Its difficult to keep up but as long as my system is good enough for me i dont really care about having the latest just for the sake of it.

I also used to be into my power hungry pc's.

I built my last pc in 2007 but its still better than a lot of pc's my friends or family have. My geek friends hes got a mega computer with that case from the first post.

My pc from 2007
Asus mobo p5q
Dual core intel cpu cant remember which one but its overclocked from 1.8ghz to 2.8ghz
Gpu nvidia gts8800 640mb
8gb corsair xms ddr2 ram
Corsair tx 6xx psu

I used to play call of duty series on it. But i saw the light of day and bought a xbox 360 and which i love and doesnt need upgrading every 2 mins. Was a good pc and is still serving me well 6 years later

I have a 650k.... fairly older i5 but it overclocks pretty well.

Yeah there's no point having the top spec gpu if your not using it to game, what sound card you got?

Time for a timewarp.

P4 (3.2GHz) 2Gb DDR2 and SSD of some capacity and a decent graphics card as the onboard was shit (my PC has sat on the floor doing nowt for about a year so can't remember the details lol)

Last time I checked I can play minecraft on full settings at a half decent frame rate and manages full HD no problem on playback.

Going back in time even further, I've got Windows 98se running on a Pentium with FSB overclocked from 66MHz to 75MHz which iirc brings it up to about 300Mhz ish? and I've got a TURBO setting as well all in the name of using an RS232 port... fml. boots in under a minute though! Old skool with jumper pins for overclocking It's just about capable of loading Facebook.

I need to get back into PC's, laptops do me nut in!
