Router password at work, How can I found out what it is
Hello lads/lasses/people with glasses.
I'm trying to find out the router password for my work.
It's down as a work network, and need the password for my iPod to play some games.
It's Monday, so i'm sure some one could sympathize, and some one may have some use for this.
Anyway, appreciate anyone who has the time to help,

As your systems admin. Otherwise you are effectively asking how to decrypt your companies secure wifi password which could get you fired and put in jail if they deem it to be a malicious attempt to gain access to their network.

Should be, it's usually on a label underneath.
There is another way of doing it but I don't no how.
I think you can take the IP address from it and type if into the internet search bar.
It should bring up the info settings etc. and you could possibly get it via their.

Do you mean the WEP/WPA key?
Or the actual router password?

I know what you've said is all very true.. but it's quite extreme, I'm sure he'll be fine! Might get in a bit of trouble for playing games though...

Totally extreme but something to very aware of! No idea where the chap works but depending on where and the nature of things on the network the company could take a very dim view of unauthorised network hacking
Best course of action would be to just ask for it stating wanting to pick up work emails or something and see what the sysadmin say to that.

If it's the network access password you are after
You can do it for a WEP password via a freely available software package I know of that is freely available (not disclosing for obvious reasons)
If it's for the router admin password then you are limited on what you can do.
