Door Multi Plugs
OK I have been playing with a volt meter all day and have found problems with the front speaker wiring. The connectors between the doors (below) seem to be shot. But the Electric Windows and Mirror switches all work its just the speaker wires with dont.
Im just wondering how other people have got round it. Have you wired new wires in or is there anothe way that I didnt think of? I have tried cleaning the connectors by unscrewing them betwen the doors but this has not worked.

drill through the doors just above the plug, can feed better quality wire into the doors in order to wire the speakers

OK thought this would have to be done.
On the car side I was going to make a hole in the rubber where the wires come out and push the cable through that. Then I can just use black insulation tape and tape the new speaker cable to the existing rubber sleeving. If that makes sense?

or if you have the multi plug out you can drill out the each side that has no connectors in and run the wire through the original ruber tubing, this looks much better than drilling holes.

Its so tight I think it would be almost impossible to fit wires through it

Another thing though is some of the connectors in the plug do work. Like the Power for Windows and Mirrors

The rubber grommet comes out
I managed to run wires through the existing loom with the STOCK wiring still intact
its fiddle but no drilling required
