Thanks, hopefully it'll turn out great - just a matter of waiting for the summer and Autumn for some nice parts and go from there !

I did think about keeping them, as then I can easily go back to just NA with bodies (as I'm 100% going to miss the noise) - but I need the money to buy parts to rebuild the engine really.
I think for me keeping the bodies would just add extra cost to the project - would love to do it though don't get me wrong !!

Be4r Gearbox
Manged to pick this baby up for a filthy cheap price, practically free! Paid a deposit through ebay then went and got it off the car myself, although couldn't get the intermediate bearing carrier as the person wanted to keep it with the engine for some reason
I've priced up a few parts from Citroen to fit the gearbox and it all seems pretty reasonable tbh !! Half tempted to retain the hydraulic clutch (as will have the space to keep it) and route something up using the clutch cable with a master cylinder to engage it - something to look into really as might just be easier to go with a cable setup.
Got the Be4 hubs and knuckles, and both driveshafts so should make it easier to fit them. Just need to get the hubs machined down to fit inside the MA wheel bearings (37mm ID), a spacer made up in the following dimensions:
thickness - 3mm
internal diameter - 35.5mm
external diameter - 56mm
And then the drivers side shaft shortened to fit.
Will opt for the ATSpeed mounting kit, bit just couldn't justify the cost of the driveshafts - having nearly £1k tied up in driveshafts isn't something I can afford to do right now! Especially when I'd only really need the drivers side one !
The width of the driveshafts is bloody huge !!! almost double the MA shafts !
The gearbox code is 20DP15 - anyone able to find out the ratios and the FD for this gearbox, I've tried looking but can't find it !!
Came off a Picasso with just under 40k with a 1.6 8v engine and felt very smooth changing gears in the car with no gearstick play !
EDIT - it has a 4.29 FD (73x17 final drive). Just putting together the gear ratios and max speeds now.

lol, nutter !!
Would be better going for a smaller turbo so it boost up quick, and then when it runs out of puff the supercharger is just getting into its stride and pulls hard ot the limiter !
Bit turbo and big supercharger would be mental when they both chirped up !

The Picasso box has the following ratio's
Final Drive - 4.29
1st - 3.4545
2nd - 1.8667
3rd - 1.2903
4th - 0.9512
5th - 0.7954
It means it sits pretty much inbetween a S2 rallye box and a vts box. By upping the limiter it should be fine.
Max Speed in Each gear (7400 rev limit - 195/45/15 tyres)
1st - 33
2nd - 60
3rd - 87
4th - 118
5th - 141
Max Speed in Each gear (7500 rev limit - 195/50/15 tyres)
1st - 34
2nd - 63
3rd - 91
4th - 124
5th - 148
^ ^ I think that should be okay ratio's really - means I don't need to mess about with pulling the box apart and changing ratios etc. which suits me just fine !! Just means I'll run 50profile front and rear tyres, and the charger will just be under it's max rpm limit at 7500 with a 100m pulley size (would be at its max with a 98mm pulley) !!

Then you can retain your standard hubs etc.
OR can use BE hubs, machine them down to fit a MA wheel bearing and fit a small spacer (2.5mm-3mm). The drivers shaft will need to be shortened - but it's best to fit everything and measure it all up.
It doesn't look too hard to setup a hydraulic clutch setup so it's a lot easier on the left leg with a heavy clutch.
I plan on going with the ATSpeed mounting kit as I don't want to cut corners mounting it and it being out of line etc., but then doing the rest myself as will save a lot of ££££ this way and doesn't seem too hard to get thing right.

You think they should be okay? At first I thought they'd be a bit short, but with a 50 profile and 7500 limiter should be okay, plus can get 60 in 2nd
I'm hoping it'll easily go to the limiter in 5th power wise but obviously not keeping it there etc. so should be good enough for any trackdays and runs it does

Good work Ross! Not messing about eh?
Are the Picasso shafts the same length as the saxo ones?

lol, from reading up the passengers side shaft is the right length, but obviously need to sort the hub end of things.
The drivers side is too long so has to be shortened, sybez was looking at around 30mm. I think it'll be something I'll do nearer the end of the project, and either get it shortened, or get a one-off section of shaft to go between the hub CV and the intermediate bearing CV made in the right length.
All I need really is an engine and gearbox to bolt into the car to mock up intercooler, piping etc., then I can measure lengths of shafts so that I can sort the drivers side out. It just means it'll be easy and cheap to replace the passengers shaft if need be as they'll be an off the shelf item - but the drivers side shaft could be a bit more £££ if I need to replace it, but CV joints should be rebuild'able etc.
Just means in the back of my head I know the gearbox is sound and shouldn't break if I give it some stick (ATSpeed seem to be getting on fine with theres in the videos) - whereas with an MA it'd always be at the back of my mind launching it. The cost of the BE conversion shouldn't be too bad tbh.
I should be able to sell my S2 box when the time comes, and still have change from the price of the gearbox, hubs, shafts and new parts from Citroen to get it ready. Then you just have the machining work, hyrdo clutch and drivers shaft to sort out.

Sweet. Was something I've looked into slightly, but think I'm going to put it off until the car is up and running. Will see how the MA box with diff holds up for a while until I get bored and go for more power lol
