Cheap-ish Digital Camera?

Hey guys, on the lookout for an affordable Digital Camera, could anyone recommend one?! 8MP+ really.

Also would quite like one that i could easily re-charge, as batteries don't tend to last long/very annoying constantly buying new batteries.

you after a dslr are just a compact?

if you just want a compact just look in any shop like currys or argos and get one thats got 8mp+ and then buy some rechargeable batteries.

if you want a dslr then a good starter one with 8mp+ are the d40x's, although with a dlsr the megapixels aren't that important unless your blowning the image up.
you need a good quality fast lens, rather then resolution size
