Studio? no no no
Sorry, not really anything new from me tbh, suppose I'll have to wait until spring to get outside and stuff. But hey ho, this was taken in my room (setup shot below), just for all those that claim you need a studio to take 'studio' pics
I just tried with a bit more of a high key shot (for photography newbies, that means bunging up the exposure so the picture is proper bright - almost dreamy)

Nice pic and setup mate. Seems a little too over exposed for me but it might be just my screen.
What was you using as the BG a sheet? Was you using your 85mm?

Good diy studio there Ads
Like said... you do not need a studio to get good pics. Just a 'tog' that know's what they are actually doing.
My mum came in my room on Friday with a business card from a local 'photographer' who had got the business cards done for free off the internet. Asked if he was any good and apparently he's only joined a camera club and reckons he's a pro. Sounds a bit like Jaydee if you ask me lol

The one basis thing that needs to be done is the eyes in focus which you've done, which has made a great photo. Good job.

haha, we'd finished taking the shots the shots and told her I needed a setup shot, went to take it and never noticed until I was PP'ing the face she'd pulled
Yep, just select a single AF point and bung it over her eye until it focuses... job done
You're gonna cream your pants when you see the new bit of kit I'm buying at easter

Cheers man yeah it's weird looks ok on my laptop screen (fastest comp I have so use it for PP'ing) but looks a tad too bright on my desktop... is yours calibrated, going to bung up a guide in a jiffy about calibration anyway

proper DIY indeed, doesn't cost a lot and so far the only limiting factor I feel between mine and studio pro shots is my own ability and not the gear... so I'm happy enough... for now...
