Gym membership prices

i was wondering how much people pay because i have a chance to re new mine for £200 a year, but its jus a boxing gym. no pools etc.

Depends what you want out of a gym mate tbh, do you want the weights, pool, steam rooms, saunas etc?

ye mine is more old skwl, was wondering about prices for the more posh gyms etc, and whether its worth paying the extra...?

it depends if you would use the other faciliteies, weight machines, sauna, steam room, classes etc
the one near me who offer that are around 40 a month

i prefer free weights to machines

i do prefer the old skwl gyms also, i find in the posh ones everyone looks at ya like ur a tit. especially if ur doin free weights

I found that the posh gyms are full of pretty boys who only train their biceps, abs and hair styles.

In the dungeon type gyms you meet the people who train hard and properly, old school dudes etc. This is where you can learn the stuff worth learning.

Mate you're training in a gym, if they think you're a tit for training on free weights then you don't wanna know what I think of those blokes who don't. Some lads that come down Fitness First are chavy or pretty boys and have absolutely no idea of what they're doing and just attempt to train for show

i did the odd day at a posh gym and had people watching me al the time. i just didnt give a ahit. the gym i go now is 150 for year a think. monthy 22. i just try not to pay all the time lol. its a little shit village gym but me and my mates pretty much use the frre weights and everyone else is older an sit on the bikes etc

Old school gym, recon'd machines and battered free weights.
£3 a day or £25 membership and £7 p/w

Did 2 days at a new 'modern' gym and hated it, full of posers who'll do 40 dumbell curls with hardly any weight and stand in the mirror for an hour checking their hair.

Old people that just sat on machines annoyed me too.
