Looks like the splitter on the top hose mate.
Looking good mate. Only thing I don't like is the air filter you have doesn't go with the bay at all and looks cheap.

The engine bay really is impeccable!
I think the fact its an 8v engine makes it look so much tidier and the pipework is less squeezed around the block like it is with 16v's!

Haha, it wasn't a question. I can see where its coming from.
Thats what im not sure on, as in how effective it will work and there are better ways of doing it.
Everything else looks spot on

Thats the question how effective will it be?
I have seen both ways and pro's and con's for both.

its a loverly build but as said the water cooling wont be effective. theres unlikely to actually be any pressure across the turbo, it will just bypass and the hot post turbo return will be post rad.
i only have somewhat limited knowledge on turbo systems. but relatively well up on the plumbing front.....
the return really ought to drop into the bottom hose for maximun heat transfer.
wouldnt like too see that shiny new turbo go pop.

ask a hundred people a question and youl get a hundred different answers. but even basic knowledge on plumbing pressure systems / fluid dynamics will show you it will bypass.
think about it for a moment, why would it flow? and do you think the pressure you imagine will overcome gravity?
the factory oil cooler i shite at best and even they have commonly been re routed to actually allow for some cooling..
its your car and nice it is too but thats my opinion.

Exactly. When the thermostat is closed there will be no flow or pressure. When its upto temp and open there is a flow through the top hose but under no pressure. On a well bled system the water only has a steady flow through the top hose. I dont see why it would want to flow down a smaller "T" and back again as it will always take the easy route!.

your saying thankyou as if you have just proved me wrong?
Just because people run them like this with no problems doesn't mean its the best way of doing it. I never said it was wrong or wouldn't work, but there are better ways of piping the system.
Ill not say anymore, far too many knowalls on here

I have ran my feed from turbo off the top hose and returned it back into my reservoir if that helps rich. would you not need your hose to have a one way system on it?

Top hose will be getting changed over next few weeks. Going to try a new idea.
