Default Dan's french turbo sleeper ☆VIP☆ Whip !

Saving up for a new motor so bought this for £200.

Good points:

30,000 miles.
Radio works.

Bad points:

Very vague steering.
My 1.1 saxo was faster.
About 3 times slower to 60 than my civic.
Feels like a boat.
Looks like shit.
Driving position is awful.
Feels heavy as fuck.
Build quality is shocking.
Heavy as clutch.
Gearbox is like stirring porridge.

Plans in order:

Fix the knocking.
Drive it in to walls and shit.
Go offroading.
Scrap the cunt.
Stop taking antidepressants.
Buy a honda.

Drove it for 20 mins so far and hate it awfull knocking from o/s front worn suspension bushes ill have a look tomorrow, and so far armrest snapped off when i leant on it and the grill fell out when i shut bonnet and just hate it.

Ill let the pictures do the talking:

im surprised to read some of what your putting, i paid a few hundred for a 51K Xsara VTS about a year ago and i thought it was pretty good! Ugly as *** and had electrical faults, but it handled pretty nicely, the gear linkage felt german and it went as well as my 182. it was gloss black and had full leathers, i liked it!

Suppose it would be like comparing a 1.1 saxo handling to a vts but honestly such a really bad car.

HA!

I remember trying to get up a hill on the A1, approached at 80, slowed down to 30, slowed down to zero. Had to use the hard shoulder to creep up it as it just would not go up the hill.

Such a shite car.

Drove home from work found some more flaws the slightest slope means that its got to be 2nd gear, 30-60 3rd gear is 12 seconds and 60-70 in 5th took 13 seconds !!, so far grille fell out glued it back in, got locked in the car had to let window down and use the key from the outside also the banging noise seems to be the exhaust so expecting that to snap soon, build quality of french cars is awesome but at least raido still works.

Keep the updates coming thick and fast though please, makes me feel less bad about my current car situation.

Not sure why you wouldn't have bought a Xantia though?
