Default Furio with C2 VTS Engine

Hey Guys, just a quick question.

Would a Furio with the C2 VTS JP4S Engine run approximately the same bhp as the Saxo VTS JP4 Engine?

Can you remap the ECU to improve performance without changing any parts also?

What are lower cost options to increase the BHP for a beginning? IE; Exhaust?

Saxo VTS doesn't come with a JP4, it only comes with a J4. Beware of JP4 engine swaps with the original J4 manifold, the J4 manifold isn't tuned to work with the JP4 or JP4S camshaft and you'll probably find/feel weird dead spots in the power delivery and probably an overall reduction in peak hp.

JP4S makes the "most" power. JP4 is rated at 110PS and the J4 is rated at 120PS if memory serves me right.

Yes you can remap the ECU for improvements without changing anything, the OE map has to take worst case conditions into account so there's always going to be some "reserve" if you want to call it that. It's probably not much though.

Changing your exhaust probably isn't going to gain you any power with everything else being standard, a cone filter instead would probably gain more. In fact, I run the standard exhaust on my regular J4 and it consistently dynos around 136hp. It's been dyno'd at least 8 times across 3 different dynos, as I need this done every race/sprint season.

Years ago (around 2011?), with the previous owner, the car made 120hp with the stock airbox, then 126hp with a dirty cone filter, Raceland 4-2-1 and the stock ECU with stock map. After a remap it was 132hp. (this basically just optimised the timing).
