Default Identify this thermostat please!

Hi, just bought a saxo vtr on a 52 plate, went to buy a thermostat, it was the moulded type and was wrong, so thought maybe I had a mk 1 head on it and ordered a removable thermostat (states it's 54mm) doesn't fit!
Measured what I have and it seems to be a 51mm thermostat. It's cooked my brain!
Cheers

Sorry, should have took a pic of the thermostat lol. There was a name and code on thermostat....dauphinoise thomson 4069 but the od was 51mm opposed to the regular 54mm. Visited eurocarparts way too much today! Was just wondering if anyone had any idea what it could be? I was expecting it to be a stat moulded to housing jobby!
On the plus side I've just welded in a nice new cross member

that looks like a standard later type with a bonded unit, just that it has come apart.

Luckily I have a c2 1.4 head in the shed, that has the bonded thermostat so I've whipped that off and dropped it in some gunk to clean all the k seal off. I've checked the bolt pattern and it looks identical. When I get 5 mins I'll swap them over! At least I know when I put my reg into eurocarparts I'll come back with the right part
Thanks for replies!
Fair play, you've been on this forum a while!

Where abouts in South Wales are you?
I'm the same, I dip in and out of here, I do like a little froggy. These 8v saxos and 106 are lovely to work on!
