Default Best graphics card

Whats the best graphics card you can get? At the moment i have a Nvidia Geforce 9500GT, but it seems to lag a little bit during gaming. I always have to mess around with the settings etc. I have a Intel Core 2 quad CPU Q6600, 2GB Ram, Windows XP, so i know my system and cpu are fast enough. I can only think of the graphics card, but i thought a 9500GT was pretty dam good? Any ideas for an awesome graphics card, that i wont experience any trouble what so ever? Thanks

Go up to 4 gig mate. SLI'ing the cards might help as well.

SLI'ing a 9500gt is pointless. Will still be weak mate.

First thing you have to look at is the power supply in your pc. You need a half decent one (500w+) to power todays high end graphics cards.

Graphics cards can range from £30 - £400.

Se all depends on what psu and budget you have.

Yes, but the RAM upgrade will give the computer more of a boost than a better graphics card.

If he's on a quad core CPU with 2gb of ram running a 9500GT, the gfx card will be completely bottle necking the system so buying a new one would give a much bigger increase in performance than an extra 2gb of ram.

Exactally.!!!

and he is more than likely running a 32bit os, so you would get a MUCH greater system boost getting a half decent 1gb graphics card than more ram as 32bit os can only utilise 3.25 - 3.5Gig of total available system memory (ram and graphics card ram)

So

I have a 9800GTX which is pretty decent, although that cost me like 180 a year ago.

Although if you can SLi 2 8800GT's as they out perform pretty much what any other single card can do for the price range.
