I was talking with Sam last night and got him to do a Photoshop with a few different colour sun strips added as I couldn't decide whether to go for black, white or red. We decided red would have to be an exact match to look right so that was binned due to it being quite costly I bet then he did a white and black.
I decided I liked the black better then Sam sent this as an idea...
I thought as the wing mirrors have carbon fibre caps, I could get the front dipped in carbon hydrodip then refurbished the wheels or swap them for some in black.
What do you all think?

Yeah, I'll try and smoke the indicators so it kind of blends rather than just the harsh contrast.
I went to get loads done to the car today but as a normal bank holiday weekend, it pissed down for most of the day so I got some of the dash apart to check some wiring issues but not much else!
Hopefully tomorrow might see some better weather and some more work done.

Tinted sidelights:
Then a wide-mouth front bumper:
Then a nice black bonnet

I like the widemouth idea with the tinted sidelights. It defrost looks a bit better.
Having a bit of a go at a few jobs this morning, I did this to the big crack in the bumper:
And the dash looks like this:
I'm trying to figure out why the rev counter has packed up and also why the oil temp gauge lights up, the warning light comes on and the needle sits at halfway for a bit then seems to clear or stop working!
I'm seriously considering building a loom at this rate with all new sensors!

With the help of Tilly I managed to repair the passenger door handle mechanism. It not opens from the outside and has central locking again, all thanks to tiny hands and zipties!
Last night I started mucking about and made this up as well.

Yeah, I do like the white wheels but I think for easy I might have to swap to black so the brake dust doesn't show up as much!

Really!? Well, I never knew that.
Wonder if the light stay's on for the same time each time the key is turned.

Yep, cool isn't it
I never trusted mine (when I had the standard dials) but it's always a reasonable indicator to help warn you if the oil level is low

Looks like a red version on my old green saxo with the black bonnet and black morretes red and black is a good colour scheme.
I really like that little feature on the dails. Sometime maybe a little out.

Yeah, it's a cool thing... I think mine is a little off their as the dipstick shows just under the full Mark yet that seems to show almost empty lol.
I will hopefully get round to getting some dials and better sensors soon as I have lost total confidence in the temp sensors etc. To be honest I just want to rewire the whole car but I don't have the time, space or money to do it yet. We'll see how it goes and for now I'll keep my eyes peeled for some cheap oil temp and pressure gauges and a water temp gauge.

Got some bits through the post this week. Should mean I can start to build up the coilovers soon.
And some perspex to make a centre console.
