I'll upload the video of the amount of movement. I might throw it on and see what happens then.
Nah, not found a cage yet. I think it'll have to wait until after Christmas now. Not got much of the budget left now.
Well, I got the other side done so now all I have to do tomorrow is make 2 good wishbones out of the four I have, Throw the struts on, fit the wishbones, fit the lower front strut brace and see if I can get the brakes removed!

What sort of cage are you going for?
I was thinking half cage, then I thought about crashing!

Ideally, i'd have a 6 point with door bars etc. Like I said, i can't afford it yet but it'll come in time i think... Just have to keep my eyes peeled for one at the right price.

Quick lunchtime update:
Need a drive shaft!
I forgot that I was told this when I got it So not really much I can do about it.
Seriously low on funds this month too :-/
Ahh well, looks like I might have to sell the few spares I've got lying around the garage. Won't get me much but it's better than nowt lol.

Should do. Driveshafts aren't THAT dear in the grand scheme of things. Might even be able to find a second hand one in good nick for cheaper. I'm going to have to have a tot up this week at some point to see what I'm up to.

Sounds good mate. Hope the interior is comfy enough for you
Yeah hopefully this will be MOTable soon and fingers crossed it should go through no problem. Few bits of surface rust to touch up and it'll be perfect!

Well, not much done today as I felt quite deflated after getting my pay slip through I seriously wonder why we go to work in this country!? Next door have had their windows open with heat haze blasting out all week and we struggle to pay our bills each month! Makes me fucking sick!
ANYWAY!!!
Enough moaning... What have I done today?
Got the front struts fitted, replaced the track rod ends and found a few more bits to do!
First off, both ball joints have gone on the wishbones so I need to have them replaced! I tried to get them out today but to no avail!
Secondly, I had forgotten about this drive shaft that needed replacing so theirs another job to buy and do!
Lastly, I think I'm just going to take the Callipers off the VTR. I was going to do this today BUT can I find anything to pour the old brake fluid into... can I bollocks! AND NO... I'm not risking having my balls cut off by the missus by using something out of the cupboards in the kitchen! lol
Up shot is, Tomorrow I NEED to get the brakes drained, the Callipers swapped, and the rear beams swapped. Then hopefully on Friday I can get the ball joints done, replace the rear disks and pads, put the new fluid in and bleed the brakes.
Then all that will be left over the weekend is to await a drive shaft, do a service on it and make sure everything is back together.
Next week in the evenings i'll spray up the cam covers and get them back on and try and sort out the blowing exhaust joint.
Hopefully some point in between all this, I'll get the seating sorted and get it booked in for an MOT.

Yeah, No worries mate. Got a mate bringing his SLK Kompressor over for a replacement MAF sensor and some other sensor... Should be a laugh!
Got the Drive Shaft AND the side mount sorted now Just gotta get the box section cut and welded in then hopefully the weekend after next I might be able to get it booked in for an MOT!

Bit of a slow day today! It's been raining all day so I wasnt motivated in the slightest to do anything today.
That being said, I went and picked up..... A SIDEMOUNT!!!! wayhey!!! can get the seat sorted soon I hope!
I also went to GSF and got 2 new ball joints for the wishbones then spent AN HOUR!!! trying to find a garage with a big press to fit them. The guy I found was too busy today so he said they'll be done for tomorrow.
So after all that I got home, tried out the side mounts and they fit spot on! I got them from a guy on here called HrRacing. Turns out he does Magnum bucket seats, fibreglass work, Carbon Fibre work and Flocking!!! PLUS he's only 45 minutes away in St. Helens!!! He'll be getting some more business off me in the future, Really nice bloke with some really good quality work to show me.
Well, with all that done and some time wasted on the internets, I thought i'd best DO something! SO off out to the garage I went and got the cam cover's sprayed up. Took a while but I'm really happy with the finished items and they should look really good and fresh in the engine bay with the nice shiny new bolts that I got from Swampy.
I'll get some photos on tomorrow. Until then, it's tea time, then off out to play drums for a few hours!

Yeah, it's was pretty good too. Spray booth/oven setup ftw!
I'll stick the pics up on here tomorrow as I'm in a rush to get to practice now. I'm well impressed with my handiwork for today though. Looking forward to getting these wishbones on tomorrow too. Means I can swap the axle stands over and get the rear beams swapped over.
