Gti looks brilliant mate and heading in the right direction.
Ive noticed you have fitted gaz coilovers, im also fitting my gaz coilovers this weekend
When you did yours, how hard was it to get the spring pans off the strut? did you have to grind/cut them or can you knock them off with a big hammer?
Anything i should look out for when i build them up? also will i need a spring compressor tool to fit the gaz springs? i have asked on here and they say i dont need to use the tool to fit them but would be nice if you could confirm this.
Cheers.

Cheers mate.
The spring pan from what i remember we just hit of the strut with a hammer, Wasn't too difficult, Some also say you need to grind the lugs down to fit the threaded collar, But I didn't need to the collar slipped over with some gentle persuasion.
From what i remember the only time we used the spring clamps was to remove the old springs from the strut.

You like the other 2, but love me. Don't hate.
So today, the Clio broke.
Hole in the sump
So got it home and now trying to repair it and source a new sump, no biggy, shit happens.
But my brake fluid did arrive, it's not super blue, but it's apparently the replacement after a quick browse it's the same.
And my radiator arrived.
And I fitted my rocker cover and boot badge, as you can see i fitted the rocket cover one the wrong way, mostly because I'm a dick and didn't think when doing it and the cover wasn't actually on the car.

So Clio seems to be sorted, when I go to work in morning that will tell me lol.
But I got bored and started browsing eBay and come off £100 worse... Again.
I have ordered a driveshaft, side mounts for bucket seats and bolts. Also not sure if I mentioned I bought some omp subframes on Saturday. So come the weekend I may test for on my seats, which I'm probably gonna have to sell because I'm a fat bastard.

Fitted the satchshift this weekend. I will never fit one again lol
Carpet has come out too, next weekend I'll be fitting a rad, spacers, 1.2s with R888s, resprayed front badge, manifold, bucket seats and harnesses and then it should be ready for MOT.
Absolutely buzzing for the next track day.

106 GTi - Satchshift/R888s/Trackday/MOT coming
So everything has been fitted and the MOT is at 8:30am. Fingers crossed.
My landlady has now told me to get rid of the car and to stop working on it on the drive, so if it does fail I'll have no where to fix it for the time being. But we are looking to move shortly to a place with a garage etc.
Llandow a week Saturday, can't wait to see how the car is on a set of decent tyres.
Few pictures from the weekend.
1.2s fitted with 20mm spacers and stud nut conversion, not fitted centre caps yet.
Drilled some racecar holes in the bumper, properly because I could and I had the bumper off anyways.
Few randoms
And one of the daily after a quick once over earlier.
Oh and I needed some duct tape, never know when you'll need any lol

So it passed its MOT, pictures of advisories below.
Saturday I'm removing 20mm spacers as I'm catching my R888s on front.
But I drive the car yesterday for the first with satchshift, brilliant bit of kit, on Saturday I'll take it for a proper drive. Might take the go pro.
