OK, wheels / tyres are now properly fitted. I took a LOT of work. I don't recommend anyone going for 205/50/15 tyres, but if you must, I now know exactly what you have to do to get them to fit correctly and safely. My car is quite low at the rear, and I don't get any rub when going over bumps anymore.
Fingers crossed the extra width will pay dividends round the bendy bits.

Just to add. Been told that the Hi-specs can take up to 28 days! Feck me. Apparently the discs are still being made. Blimey... Got drilled and grooved coming. Mintex 1155 pads. Should be awesome. I heard the pads squeel like a bitch.

The tyres are really heavy though...
How's your car doing? No update in a while.

JP has put the fear into me, by saying that he doesn't think the extra width gives any more grip. It certainly adds more weight though.

toad, there are a lot of contributing factors i dont think jp took into consideration.
its very very simple. more rubber, more grip.
isnt that why time attack cars use 295 wide tyres on their monsters?
if not im suprised there not all on 185's lol

Hey i never said that i jsut said the advantage is minimal? You'd have to be driving the car to the limit to notice much difference i think
