SD cages to my knowlege come pre powdercoated black.
as you can see OMP do not.
both have FIA paperwork, so before the style whores jump on the bandwagon both are perfectly acceptable

Thanks chap!
Right, I've never really made a proper update in this thread since it began, so here's an effort slightly a la Rushy stylee!
S1 Rallye gearbox is in!
So, after much fannying about with trying to find a new clutch, everything is finally sorted. (well, it has been for a few weeks, I just haven't mentioned it really... ) What a nightmare with the clutch! It turns out, the clutch for my car is slightly bigger than that of the older model 106s, but not even Peugeot seemed to know this! ...How concerning, lol.
Before I harp on about how great the gearbox is! I need to mention some issues I've recently acquired. The ABS is isn't currently working due to the front, offside wheel sensor giving up the ghost. I still haven't got this sorted but I better had soon, as I can't believe the difference in the manner the car brakes now. I was on the motorway doing about 70mph, and had to brake fairly sharp'ish, and the car decided to morph into a snake! Anyways... That's not the only thing sadly. I noticed oil dripping onto the driveway the other day, I was very, very worried! However, after some inspection, it turned out to be coming from the balancer on the offside driveshaft. It was acutally hydraulic fluid, so it was a good bad thing if you know what I mean? I needed a few of these though I can tell you.
So next on the cards is a new ABS wheel sensor and a new driveshaft. The car doesn't drive perfectly with this driveshaft issue, I need to get this sorted pronto before something bad happens! Where's that mechanic!!!
Also in the pipeline are some white mud flaps. I KNOW, I KNOW, I will be careful not to make the car look chavtastic. Hopefully, if done correctly, I can really pull this one off. I still need to cut the plastic, so bare with on this one...
Further down the line (but still important) is getting the engine management sorted. The car is not running perfectly, and it's very jumpy when coming off the gas, or feathering the gas. The car needs a decent standalone ECU and another map. However, what would be the point of doing all that and not fitting some rather tasky DTH throttle bodies right!?! Exactly! Can't wait to get all that done, just need to pull 3 grand out of my back side.
I'm really happy with the gearbox, it's a whole lot of fun, and I recommend it to anyone! So, just to leave you with something... I promised some quick vids with the S1 box installed, so here's 2 very short clips of the speedo. If you look back at the previous ones, you'll notice quite a difference, especially where I change gear now. The first vid is a quick pull in 2nd and 3rd. The 2nd clip is an acceleration from 70mph in 4th. I wouldn't normally be in 4th at 70mph for optimum acceleration, but it gives an idea of what it drives like now, and how it pulls nicely in the higher gears.

That really does pull! Is that solely down to the box?
Whats the diff between that and the vts/gti box?

Thanks for the good comments!
180 mate, if you skip back a few pages, there's some other vids before the S1 box went in. With regard to your last question, I don't think that's possible.
