But my girlfriends is the rough end of town and it's a B

Just to add to my last comment, I just did a check with the exact same details and put my girlfriends address and it was £250 more for the same car!
So I don't think the post code bands are correct!

what is the first part of your postcode ?
For example if you were:
LA17 the risk is Category A
LA3 the risk is Category B
etc
So basically find your postcode and then A,B or C will be the risk category.

Lucky you my postcode comes under glasgow which apparantley aint good for insurance hence the reason my cars on sorn till I turn 18 and my insurance drops at least a lil bit

rang a few off these today to try and get better quotes on a 106 GTI im after & cheapest quote i found is £1270,
