Thanks Sections

Just looking through the sections and think that altho yes the thanks button is a good idea, its gettin used in bits where i dont believe it should.

Car detailing, people have cleaned car and people have thanked, seem spointless, and also not sure if its still there but was in the gallery, someone says nice car, so he gets thanks

i think it should be limited to at least 3 sub forums

engine, braking, problems and maybe styling and ice sections

i know that there are members constantly helping but no thanks given, but there is in other forums where its not necessary

im not too arsed, but i just looked at the sections and you see people like ryan/alexr/sophia/alexvts/kam and so on giving lots of good advice and gettin no thanks

THe system is already restricted to select forums... if peeps think this needs tightening up further, Im OK with that.

Just grab a list of forum ID numbers

i dont believe it should be in gallery, i can see the reason for it being in car detailing, but it doesnt get used properly in there either imo. someone cleaned there car they host pics and people thank them.

i think it should just be the tech forum, premium how to's
I.t section am not sure about as there is some tech information given out with in there.
Photo section no, as people are getting thanked for saying nice car etc.

But then people will argue that is should be in that section encase out tech is said, but tbh i have not realy witnessed any good use of thanks in the photo section

i have noticed that people are giving thanx when they have not made a thanks worthy contribution.

eg. if someone has said something funny, they have been given thanx.
just the same abuse the rep system got....

i dont think it should be narrowed too much but just not in stuff like pics and videos

tbh im not fussed if im not thanked but it is nice to see they apreciate my effort enough to click the button lol
