Default What do you think is best?

Ok so a while back i decided i wanted a new set of wheels, something subtle, and could help with the whole "sleeper" look i'm after.

So i settled on a set of c5 aluminum "steel" wheels, very light weight which helps as this car is stripped out a fair bit.

however, after fitting them, i really dont know which i prefer. The previous wheels are 13inch black starmags.

So heres the before and after. What should i keep? i dont know if its how low the back is that ruins the look of the c5 wheels. but i do have a gti kit i could install which would remove the metal covering half the tire on the rear - but would pretty much look like a gti and no sleeper look anymore.

to add it drives 5x better on the c5 steels, no scraping at all or rubbing.

Id like to know, what you think looks better, and whether the gti kit fitted would make it look "its best" etc etc.

I'd raise the back up to match the front and go with the steels.

like the look of car in first picture as well.

However is it worth the hassle of the car driving a lot worse. Guess it depends how much you use the car and what for.

First one looks shit. Front end sits way too high and 13" wheels belong on a mini.

Second pic is far nicer if you ask me. Plus if it's actually a quick car you'll want a decent sized wheel to put the power down. It'd drive like a bag of shit on the starmags.

Thanks all for the replies guys, ive hummed and arr'd and heres my plan.

Keep the c5 steelies, it just drives 10x better.
Raise the rear end
fit front gaz coilovers to drop the front a tad (it needs new dampers/springs anyway so...)

Thanks all again, good to read peoples views!

Good choice there, get some dead shit wheel trims from the quid shop to complete the sleeper look lol

Do quite like the matt/satin starmags to be fair - the backend is too low though and the front end is too high though IMO.

Do like the sleeper look of the steelies though... satin/matt black steelies with an even rake would look the bollocks if you ask me
