Ff bg 182
So I took a very long, and draining trip to Liverpool yesterday from Bridgend, South Wales to take a look at a 182. It ended up being so much better than I had expected, so I'm now the proud owner of this
My bamp being over cautious checking for any oil leaks etc.
Not the best pictures as my phones camera is wank, but there she is!
75k miles
Belts etc done within the last 1000 miles with proof
Full service history with a fair Renault specialist stamps
Cup Turninis sandblasted and powder coated anthracite last Wednesday (standard 182 wheels were sold)
Both cup packs, so uprated suspension and climate control, cruise control, auto lights etc
Polybushed dogbone mount
RS192 Catback with standard cat
PMS solid top mounts
PMS Strut brace
Carbon fog surrouds, thumb grips and other bits and bobs
Brembo grooved discs with Racing blue fluid and braided lines
Fabia front splitter
Short recessed number plate
What can I say, I know it's 'only a clio' but I'm genuinely in love with the car, it's exactly what I was after and is much better than I expected. Never thought I would like a clio this much! The exterior is in amazing contition, bar two tiny little dings and small scratches (very small), and the interior is just absolutely mint.
Don't really have any plans for this at the moment, other than to maintain it regardless, and upgrade the speakers/fit an aux cable to the standard head unit.

I'm currently driving back and forth to Swansea on the motorway for work, so the FF definitely comes in handy there.
My views also, the acceleration is about the same, but the Clio seems to throw you back into the seat more, and it definitely has a lot more grunt.

Fank you! They're great fun tbh, getting relatively good mpg out of it as well, much more than the S. Can happily say I made the right choice!
Other news, the S is being picked up tomorrow, so that could mean some goodies are coming soon. Thinking of a scorpion decat, new speakers (have just bought an aux adapter for the standard head unit), debating an. RS tuner but not sure.

It shows up any little marks though, and gets fucking covered in dust after a 10 second drive

Updates, had a bit of a crash with a log on the motorway on my travels to Cornwall. Long story short, it ended a lot better than it should have. I just need a new bumper, splitter, fog light surround, and fog light bracket. The car infront of me didn't notice it, swerved into the log which sent it flying into my bumper.
Anyway, after coming into a little bit of money, I've decided/opted that next year the BG will be boosted. I'll be going to a low boost setup that should return around 230bhp with standard internals. I'll be looking at adding a quaife atb to the list as that's going to make a world of difference, and I've been advised that the standard clutch should be fine, and a Helix paddle is not needed.

unlucky about the smash mate! looks like it's not too bad though, just a bit of unwated hassle!
I'm really into 182's lately, kinda miss having a powerful, fun supermini!
boost will be fun, and a diff will make the world of difference! a mate put one on his clio race car, and it was a totally different machine!
having an LSD in a FWD car is just essential if you want to push on

Could do without it, but me and my girlfriend escaped what could've ended very badly, so I really can't say anything! They are fantastic fun, and just feel like an overall better built Saxo with more comforts and features, which is what I wanted to upgrade to!
I'm more leaning towards the word expensive, rather than fun. But I plan on keeping the car for many more years, so it'll be nice to just go all out and make it something else. I've been advised also that an uprated clutch will be required, as in no time the standard clutch will give up on itself, not sure whether it will be the Helix uprated paddle clutch, or generally an uprated one.
