Fuel return for a vts conversion
I would recommend getting your hands on the original fuel lines, either from a scrappy, on here, or from citroen. You can also use 6-8mm id fuel line, you will require 3-4m's. This can be picked up from all good motor factors.
The blacktop vtr already has a fuel return line so this guide isn't required
It is ever such a simple job.
Detailed pictures bellow for you to use for reference. I apologise its a crap guide but im sure it will help a small amount
1. Feed The longest length of fuel line through the gromit in the engine bay next to the fuel supply line
2. attach the engine bay fuel line to the push fit connector (fuel line which goes to the rail)
3. feed the fuel return line under the carpet inside the car alongside the fuel supply line.
4. Poke the end of the fuel line through the gromit which goes out by the fuel filter.
5. remove the rear bench for ease of access
6. remove the two securing fuel tank bolts and washers
7. Wiggle the tank so it drops a few inches (will give you vital space to feed the tank line up)
8. Remove the two covers underneath the rear bench. You will find the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator
9. remove the fuel pressure regulator and all pipe work associated.
10. Attach the 2ft length of fuel pipe to the return port on the fuel pump ( it will be mark with an arrow)
11. feed the other end of the pipe along the top of the tank and down to the fuel filter.
12. Now attach your new pipe to the pipe you recently ran through the inside of the car.
13. Now attach a length of pipe from the out flow of the fuel filter to the supply feed pipe which runs through the car along the sill.
14. push fuel tank back up into position and rebolt back in place
15. put the carpet back in place
16. refit rear bench
17 refit passenger seat
