i've only heard of one elite failing
an checked with my mate today he only has one red light appearing but its the bottom right hand one which basically means its fucked aswell lol

i had this, unplugged EVERYTHING and it worked fine, did it again a week later, again i took it fully apart hd the lot, now its purrrrrrrrrrrfect

Rumour has it you can cure the ring o' death with a towel.
Also heard, its covered under a 3 year warrenty now

yeah tried unpluggin everythin but didnt work  think it was error code E74 or 75 not sure so he's just gonna buy an elite next week lol

elites can get 3 red ring, 4 means scart ent plugged in (on hdmi versions) 3 red ring, got warranty? send it back! (you will get a repaired one back not a new one) If not there are places that will repair, not all know what they are doing though.
