Car Rig Thread
thought id start a proper thread where we can all share ideas and images etc.
i went out with my rig today, went to my work, as it has a super smooth concrete "floated" floor. and i think the camera stayed pretty still, i had a job on so they were a little rushed, and the composition on some could have been so much better, ill show you which one later.
all in all for a £17 rig, im very pleased.
im mid processing now, so they will be up soon
PARTS LIST
Screw fix was the choice for my parts
this,2 x £4.88
and this £7.92
then i got some old bolts and nuts. i drilled a hole through the handle of the suction cups, then bolted through the hole at the end of the pole. i had to drill my other hole in the pole about 600mm further down. id like to be able to move them about for different mounts but this was the easiest an cheapest.
then you are left with this
then i got the centre pole out of my redsnapper tripod and tapped/cable tied it on the end, then fitted my ball head and camera to the end.
easy

That would be great.
What camera are you using? I have a 300D, bit dated and heavy but still does the job.

Got a pic of it all mounted up together?
I dont know if I would trust that pole of yours.
Does it not need, like, to pertrude out of the car, rather than along it, if that makes any sence to you?
Are you using a remote, or just timer?

This looks really good, might have to invest in something like this in the summer and do some shots for mates etc.
What sort of speed was you doing?
