Lenses - Saxperience

I'm a bit of an amateur with photography and hadn't thought of looking in the photography section here!

lenses..... just about to buy a wide angle lens and some new macro ones and can any1 simply explain what the tele one is for?

telephoto lens, is a zoom lens pretty much... but
the physical length of the lens is shorter than the focal length.

BUT, if that is your camera and they fit the thread size, go for it. i had some macro ones for my S5600 and they were great.

im not so sure on the tele ones tho, the S5600/5700 has 10X zoom, thats plenty.

i call them lenses makes it easier for people to understand what im on about lol!

yea it's all i could afford at the time, would love a canon or nikon one day! but its a decent camera for the price. glad they do their job then ill deffo get them.

yea im after a wide angle one and that one had tele aswell for the same price as most of the other wide angle ones alone so wasnt sure if i shud get that or not.

id really not waste the money on them, they wont do alot, and what they do will make poor picture quality
