IIRC, the blacktop wont fit a silvertop cause the breather pipe comes out at an angle, so it'd catch the coil pack, not tried it so it might actually fit.

You mean yours has got a coil pack at the side of the engine? With HT leads going to the plugs? If so, its a blacktop.

98bhp models are a tad quicker..higher top end, quicker 0-60 aswell..

oh,,, so that explains why the 4 branch manifold i bought today which came off another m2 saxo vtr didnt fit my vtr it must of been different types of engine coz the oil filter is in the way other than that it would have lined up perfect.
great waste of a 1er not to mention what i paid the guy to do it, its been a long day, but at least im not baffeled anymore, cheers simo...

Just need to relocate the oil filter, then it fits fine.

There were 1.4 vtrs made, they were not available in the UK market, they were imports.
but no it wont be 90/98bhp
