Time Attack Round 6 Rockingham
Since the last round, (Croft) HiSpec brakes had rebuilt my calipers and gifted another set of pads. Greatly appreciated guys
Arrived at the Northamptonshire circuit at 7am with Adrip Plumbing close behind. Adrip again continuing to transport all my race gear.
The version of Rockingham we used was the slightly longer version that the Touring cars use.
Even with the championship wrapped up I still felt the pressure to perform well and really wanted to secure another good result.
Session 1 Warm up
The circuit is damp and with the sun being low made for a very shiny circuit... requires respect in these conditions.
The session ends with a cautious 1:46.197
Session 2 Practice
Ready to drive a fully dry circuit.... don't have the bottle to take turn 1 without lifting, but feel I may be able to get closer to taking it flat later on...
I realise how technical the mid part of the lap is but really enjoy it. I think this is where my lap could be strong.
Session ends with a much improved 1:41.856
Lunchtime begins, but we have work to do with the rear tyres overheating, they need a clean. The fronts need swapping over as they are about dead... changed to the new set we had for croft (that are about half worn already).
Fuel up, check the usual's and its soon time for Qualifying.
Session 3 Qualifying
After a few words with Si about how to manage the heavily wearing front tyres... I head out.
First flying lap is a 1:42.900, second is a 1:40.869 but I fail to improve on the 3rd and 4th attempt due to traffic....
Pit in for a quick word with Si to tell me where I am and I am almost 3 seconds above 2nd place so we retire and end Qualifying in first.
Fastest lap from Qually...

Session 4 Final
Head out with the boys to have some fun for the last time this year...
on my first flying lap I am attacking hard and am doing well but then I run wide on the exit of Kirby and pick up a lot of grass and soil...
It does not appear to be hurting anything luckily...
Fast lap 2 is 1:42.9 lap 3 is 1:41.7 then have a few laps struggling with traffic...
I have a cool lap and then manage to get in a 1:40.941
Fastest lap in finals

Session ends early while I am on another hot lap with a fed flag. Ali Arshid's Supercharged Swift parked on the outside of Tarzan...
Final over we are first again.
Let the real battle commence
I am very proud to be given this also
This is for my team for putting up with me, my sponsors for helping me and providing me solutions to go faster, my friends and followers. thank you for your support.
I have had an incredible 2nd year in Time Attack. I have missed competing against the Club class boys from last year but have now shared the circuit this year with some new friends
I will be competing in 2016. I have already secured some sponsors who will be helping me develop the car into a much better package. I did recently state I had some great news... that's still 100% going to happen and I will soon be announcing whats yet to come.
