Hmmm tis exactly like car audio cabling, skimp on it and you pay the price
a 5 pound cable is going to be crap tbh, i payed 15.99 for mine and it was reduced from 30, its an ixos one and probablies one of the best makers in the business, you can spend a lot on a cable, it does make a massive difference to a set up, ive found that with car auio cabling over the years thats why id rather spend a good amount instead of getting cheap crap

car audio is different to hdmi, yes decent car audio wires will make a difference because there not digital, with analogue you have a variation but with a digital signal u either recieve the full amount(HD pic) or not at all
lol @ betamax.

Gadget Show did a test on this and couldn't tell the difference between expensive and non-expensive cables.
I use a free one and a £3 one and am happy
