Lol, Cheers Alex!! hahaha
Got a few little bits off the car like the boot plinth ready to spray the correct colour. Going to try and get the Morettes sanded over the week nights and sprayed for next weekend.

Right. Come to a bit of a crossroads now. Over the next few weeks were expecting our little girl to pop out of Nics ever expanding belly so I can't really plan on doing anything major or going anywhere so, I'm going to spend a bit of time giving the few odd coloured bits and pieces a spray so they are the right colour and hopefully some more lightening of the front end of the car will be done i.e. sound deadening removed from the bulkhead inside and out.
I know that the next part I need for the car is a manifold so thats not an issue.
The issue is, what should be next? Tyres and if so, what size? 14" or 15" also, anyone know of any decent 14" wheels that will be lighter than VTR alloys but still look good.
I should have a few quid coming in soon from the sale of the engine and parts then hopefully a little bit more for scrapping the shell and all the other bits I have left over. So potentially I should be able to get a good 2nd hand mani and set of tyres for the money i'll be getting.
Ideas about wheels and tyres please.
Bear in mind that I don't have any money left in the kitty for things right now, so don't be telling me your selling something and want them gone in the next week or so. unless you want to swap for something I have

plenty of tyres and wheels just case of working out what tyres you can get that suit you at good price in both then go for whichever cheaper.

Ideally I want a set of A048's or similar. Tweeks are doing them for £90ish a corner so if I could get some for cheaper I'd be well happy. Got to get the mani sorted first though.
If I could find a good set of 14" alloys with semi-slicks on, I'd get rid of the VTR and the TD1.2's and just have 1 set of wheels. It's not like the cars ever going to be road legal at this rate!

What about Speedline Comp 2 wheels? I'm pretty sure they are lighter than VTR wheels and come in 14"

Yeah, I saw a set of them on eBay earlier. they look okay I guess. I'd love to be able to get some 1.2's in 14 but they don't seem to make them.
There's a set of Speedline Chronos with R888's on that I'd love but there big money!
I guess i'll just have to keep my eyes peeled when I have some money.

Well, I'm thinking about selling my team dynamics 1.2's and VTR wheels so I can afford some new wheels.
I'm also thinking SERIOUSLY about a Mauritius blue caged shell I've seen!!! NEED MOAR MUNIE!!!
Other than that, not much progress yet. Baby is due in 3 weeks and I've still got a yard full of VTR parts. I give up trying to sell things on here. Think i'll go through a few bits this weekend and get them on eBay. Should be getting a trailer to shift the shell with over the weekend so at least I can get the bulk of the stuff shifted.
Any takers on the wheels?

I agree selling on here is a waste of time.... and effort
Just whack everything on ebay, next time theres a free listing weekend
So if it doesn't sell it hasn't cost you anything to put it on.
Sold all my stuff that way recently.

It's worth putting them on but just don't get your hopes up. I had all the stuff I wanted rid of up for 2 months and only sold a few parts.

Might be a few changes round here soon.
Obviously the baby is due in 2 weeks so that will be a big change but I may have a new job soon too and hopefully some good updates for the car!
Things have been a bit stagnant lately but hopefully, I'm making a few changes so that next year i'll have some more money coming in to help out with the car progress.
Still mighty impressed at what I've managed to build and I really want to get a few more trackdays in before making any big changes. The stuff on the horizon isn't so much performance related so won't make too much difference on the track.

Actual spend on the car is still as it was, I had stuff from the VTR etc that i've swapped about. The main thing is that in order to get something for this I have sold other parts off it. Pretty much everything I have taken out of the car has been sold on and due to that money coming in it has afforded me to be able to get other stuff for it. To be honest though, I have sold stuff at high price and bought replacements at bargains!!
I guess at the back end of the year, If I get round to spending some money on it i'll have to change the title of the thread to something else.
Only NEW stuff I've bought were the show plates and a helmet but i'd have bought them regardless of the project so I'm not really counting them.

The wheels are actually sold pending everything going to plan this coming week.
Just been out and got some snow foam on the car and gave it a rinse off just to try and get all the loose crap all over the car off.
Came up pretty good considering it's not been looked after since I got it. Kind of makes me want to get a bit of a cleaning session on it now.

Speaking of the wheels as well.... I LOVE Deironizer!!!!!

TELL ME ABOUT IT!!!!!!
Can't seem to shift some of the brake dust!! Goddamn M1144's!!!! MUST fit the yellow stuffs asap!!
I'll keep giving them some Deironizer, agitate, rinse, scrub, repeat. Until they are clean again!
They do look smart when their gleaming and I'm sure i will miss them once their gone BUT I do have something lined up that I think when fitted most people will like.
