Cherry bombs are for attention seeking 18 year olds and im pretty sure they are not commonly used in rally... as suggested they will be custom fabricated systems
Excessively loud exhausts will now fail an not for sound emission, I got my new back box friday just gone and Powerflow dont sell stupidly loud back box's anymore as it will fail an MOT, new MOT regulations...
Id say pick prettymuch anything will sound better than a cherry bomb exhaust!
@ Powerflow you can choose a tip and baffle size and tell them how loud you want it to be so id suggest going there! been going there for 6 years now! box's are only £120 and they fit it for you so no worrying about the fact that you welded the last one on there!

Yep as sax-oli said they let you pick a box with a suitable baffle size to give you the note and the volume you want

at powerflow you also risk very bad build quiality
the exhausts are made in a very short time to a low standard and can have some very shocking bits
ive evne seen 2 pipes welded at 90 degrees instead of having a curved tube
i would stay well clear tbh

it varies from place to place but i have seen some very apauling workmanship
even as far as thed just filled gaps about 10mm with putty
most seem to be cowboyys and tbh the systems arent really going to perform well in that state

The thing you have to ask is are you buying an exhaust for looks or to see gains.
A powerflow might fluke a power gain but its not going to be better than one developed properly.

I had a powerflow system when i bought my vtr but then swapped it for a supersprint race system....at the moment i am in the process of saving money to get a new powerflow system and sell the supersprint as i prefered the look and sound of the powerflow And i didnt really notice any difference in performance.

id say you were unlucky to see a powerflow setup that was bodged and you might find that the owner og the car jus went there to get it bodge fixed!?
Loads of my friends ahve been to my local power flow and i have had 4 excellent setups from there.
There wont be any power gains from just a backbox setup anyway so i was more interested in the sound tuning and that they look exactly how you want it to
