yeah thats going to be costy. Ive heard its a grand if you hit a barrier lol.... Im sorry but i would be so shit scared doing that in a fast car. One false move and your life savings are fucked out the window. I dont get it though, Surely that guy cant afford all that money for damages and time lost so what willl happen to him if he cant pay ?

Theres no pre set "accident" cost its done by sections ie how many armco sections you hit, also your charged if they have to clear the track, clean the track and worst of all if they have to shut the track you cover there loss.

The Ring is an absolute money maker iirc the recovery company that pull all the cars off pay 150k a year to be the Rings recovery company.

The 3rd party claim costs can be heart stopping.

There is a recent situation where there was potentially a 1 million euro accident in claims,

it was a car that dropped some oil that cused it, the injuries to those involved were severe. The driver who dropped the oil was put in jail until they figured out if they could pay or not.

It's no game, if you can't afford it don't play it

I think I remember that, German BMW driver that kept driving down while his car was leaking oil continously? Theres a pic of him looking in in his mirrors obviously wondering what it was, but he kept going.

Yes though it was exacerbated by the off camber and the crest of the hill.
If he had been going flat out the car would understeer. Whether the car was sliding to the outside of the corner to start is hard to tell, but the driver certainly lifted off to spin it..The rear cocking its wheel was not a valid reason for loosing control when weight transfer is mainly to the righthand tyres

thats what would worry me about doing something like that. Its begs the question (to a novice) how far can you push your car i.e a saxo before you end up in a crash or a spin off to flip like that ? Obviously you would test the water before going out full wack

Maybe weve got the guy all wrong and he was just swerving to miss a crossing hedgehog... lol.
