Default can it be too warm to polish?

i have gone thorugh my normal cleaning routine on a afternoon, but as my car is black it draws alot of heat into the paint, now i tried using a few products when its warm. I used the meguirs tech wax using a applicator, and when i leave it too a haze and buff up using a lint free cloth, leaves lots of marks and cant seem to get a good finish but i can use autohlm deep resin shine polish in same conditions and works perfect,

im hoping to invest in some products soon though from polished bliss and a buffer of some type, because i want to jump on to the cleaning whore train

dude a lot of the complex polymer jobbies (car cleaning stuff) are sensitive to heat (although i didnt think it'd be as low as heat on the car).

you should be cleaning in the shade anyways

Just out of interest how hot are your panels in direct sunlight??? mine is super cool like me

the polish can be harder to buff off as it drys really toughly on the paint but as said before be better to clean in the shade your car will be colder if you wash it in the shade to keep the tempreture down a little bit

try not to wash or wax in hot weather. the chemicals can react different.

i just wait till the evening.

silver is SUPER COOL... heat reflects right off and the outside is warm not burning hot! shame the interior is black in my car... lol

Using a lot of products in direct full sun is difficult, for the reasons given above, but the Poorboy's range is designed for use in sun or shade, and works well in both (it's also a good value range too, ideal for use by hand).

If you have a black car and need to clean it in sunlight the best thing to do is just wash it, as most car shampoos are fine. Then just dry. BUT dont try waxing a car in sunlight or when the panels are hot as it can leave marks and its also harder to wax in the sun anyway. So just try and leave it for the evening.
